RDSP Grant & Bond Maximizer
Find the free government money in a Registered Disability Savings Plan: see this year’s Canada Disability Savings Grant and Bond, how much extra to contribute to capture the full grant, and a year-by-year projection through age 49.
2026 figures: grants match 300% on the first $500 and 200% on the next $1,000 of contributions (up to $3,500/yr) when family income is $117,045 or less; 100% on the first $1,000 (up to $1,000/yr) above that. Bonds pay up to $1,000/yr, phasing out between $38,237 and $58,523. Figures are indexed annually — verify the current year.
Current age: 30.
An RDSP can only be opened and kept while the beneficiary is DTC-approved.
Before age 19 this is the parents’/guardians’ income (CCB-based); from 19 on it is the beneficiary’s plus a spouse/partner’s.
Your annual CRA/ESDC statement shows unused grant and bond entitlements carried forward (up to 10 years). Enter those exact figures for a precise calculation — otherwise they are estimated from your income.
